The word has just come down for the evening schedule at Quest:

Rehearsal:
"Shark Swing" (formerly LBS) Call: 2:45 for a 3 - 3:30 rehearsal
Chicago Call: 3:15 for a 3:30 to 4pm rehearsal

Show:
Shark swing: Call 7:40 for an 8 pm go
Chicago: Call: 10pm for a 10:30 go

Here is the rehearsal schedule for the next few days. Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday rehearsals have all been CHANGED so please read carefully!

Wednesday 2/28
7:00 – 8:15 Chicago
8:15 – 8:45 Run-throughs and announcements
(Grease, Sirius Dance, and Viennese Waltz)
8:45 – 10:00 Formation Medley

Saturday 3/3
4:00 – 4:45 Sirius Dance
4:45 – 5:30 Chicago

Sunday 3/4
4:00 – 5:00 Viennese Waltz
5:00 – 6:00 Life Boat Swing

There will be an Officers’ Meeting on Sunday – 6:30 at Tai Ho. Officers are expected – all are welcome.

Chicago Medley

Chicago Medley is a six-couple standard/smooth routine developed for the Performance Team in 2006-2007. The music is a medley of excerpts from the musical Chicago, and contains quickstep, slow foxtrot, tango, and viennese waltz. This routine will make its debut in February 2007 at the Quest for the Best competition in Everett, WA, before going up to the Snowball Classic competition in Vancouver, B.C.

Extra practice (Chicago)

Team,

Per our conversation last Wednesday, we are looking to ramp up the Chicago Routine for the Quest and Snowball performances. To that end I am booking rehearsal space this Friday at the Seattle Center 7 to 9 PM. I will send the request as soon as I finish typing this email. Please send me your available days. I am taking a bit of a risk in setting this up I hope you can make this work. For your reference I will put down my other considerations.

As soon as you can, please send me what days can work for you. I will do my best to make it work for us all, but know that we will all need to bend a little to make it work.

Considerations: for your reference and/or reading pleasure

Thursdays don't work for some, I already know that.

Some comments uttered on Saturday indicate more Saturday time is not desirable.

Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays can work for me going forward.

Recognize this extra work will continue only until the Snowball.

We will address this during announcements tomorrow, but it will be brief.

I finally put a schedule together for the next many weeks. Following is the schedule for Wednesday 1/10:

7 to 8:15 Chi
8:15 to 8:25 SD
8:25 to 8:35 - Announcements
8:35 - 8:45 LBS
8:45 to 10:00 VW

Thanks to all who attended our all team meeting on Sunday. We had some good conversation. Following are some highlights:

In order to maximize our Monique time we will start the PT team rehearsal right at 7pm (rather than hosting a group warm up). If the back room is available I will host a warm up at 6:52pm. It is up to us to use the time we have in the best possible way . . . Please be ready to dance right at 7pm.

We will all do our best to keep the rehearsals on track. Often we go long and compromise the FT time. (Starting on time will help with that)

NEW OPPORTUNITY: On March 17th & 18th the first annual King 5 Healthy living expo. The event is being held at the Qwest Field exhibition center. All day, both days. We will have multiple opportunities throughout both days to perform several times . . . . The schedule posted on the website is based on putting all our material out there. It is a fantastic opportunity, it will be highly advertised and will have TV coverage. Please check your calendar and come prepared to sign up at practice on Sunday.

We will re-start our team awards program: Quarterly we will award for perfect attendance and one person will be named most improved. Attendance winners will get a $15 Starbucks gift certificates, and most improved will be awarded a private lesson with a local area instructor of your choice.

So much fun all the time!!!!

Chicago practice is moved to Sunday 2 to 3:30 PM.

This is the Grease choreography, It is complete. Though the last few measures are from my memory so the timing will need to be reviewed when we get to it during practice. It is in excel format, so you will need excel to see it. Give me a call or reply if that presents any of you a problem.

Hi team, here's our schedule that was handed out on Wednesday, July 12, 2006. It has details on our practices from now through September, as well as a list of upcoming events.

On the back is a "who's in what" table that still needs to be filled in. If you're intersted in being in those dances, please talk to Mike or drop him an email.

PTR and FTR will be routines that everyone can, and should, learn. This way we have maximum flexibility when we're called upon to perform.

I have made the schedule into different formats. Choose what works best for you:

Congratulations on another great show weekend!

Lots of great things coming in the future. In the immediate short term we have the Regionals show Sunday evening.

We will performing a (6) couple LBS. Following is the line-up.

Women: Nancy, Olga, Magdalena, Riitta, Katya, Christine
Men: Mike, Geeman, Mario, Carlos, Stephen, Ken

Rehearsal will be from 8 to 10 working that routine. The above people are called for it. As for the rest of the team, enjoy a break. I do need to hear from you. Some have spoken to me about your intentions to continue (or not). I've heard rumors from others. Please let me know.

Next weds (7/5) will be an all call celebration and show viewing. Please ALL come regardless of your intentions to stay or not, it will be about celebrating the show, and an opportunity to say to everybody what's up.
