The mission of the USA Dance - Seattle: Performance Team is to promote Ballroom Dancing through performance. Since 1989, the team has performed all over the Pacific Northwest plus other parts of the USA and Canada. They perform a wide variety of dances, including west coast and east coast swing, waltz, quickstep, viennese waltz, foxtrot, tango, cha-cha, samba, rumba, paso doble, and jive.

  • May 10th, 2008: Dance Band with Dance Hosts. The USA Dance chapter is hosting a live band dance event at the Washington Dance club. Many members of the dance team will be there as participants, and possibly a dance presentation as well. More Details

Recent Events:

4/20/08: King 5 Health Living Expo: The team put on an hour and a half show including 9 different dances. This took place at the Qwest Field Exhibition Center.

2/23/08, 2/24/08, 4/12/08, 4/13/08: Take the Floor and DANCE!: The USA Dance Seattle performance team put on a theatrical show, full of comedy, drama, and, of course, Dance!

03/08/08: Nile Center: The team performed its Viennese Waltz at an event at the Nile Center.

11/17/07: Nathan Hale Festival: The team performed its Grease routine at this Performing Arts event which took place at the Nathan Hale High Shcool Performing Arts Center.

11/10/07: USA-Dance Member Appreciation Event: The team performed our Viennese Waltz event.

10/20/07: New Stars Quest: The team performed our formation team latin medley at this competition in Everett.

9/22/07: National Ballroom Dance Week: The team performed multiple dances at Northgate mall in support of the local ballroom dance community.

4/28/07 Quest for the Best The team presented two dances at this event, our Chicago number, and our Shark Swing! Shark Swing video is available online!

At the West Coast Dance Challenge in Redmond on November 18, 2006, the team performed three routines in the dinner show. Videos from the event are available!

The team performed a six-couple Paso Doble number as well as a six-couple "Chess Dance" foxtrot at the Saturday evening show of the Seattle Star Ball, August 4th & 5th, 2006, at the SeaTac Hilton Convention Center.

The team's 2006 showcase production (performed in May and June), A Chance To Dance: Secrets in the Stars, was an original "dancical" show—all the makings of a musical (minus the singing). This ballroom dance showcase featured 14 original dances choreographed by the USA Dance Seattle Performance Team and local professional dance instructors.
